Wow! I can't believe it's been almost a month since I last posted on here. It's been a pretty hectic month though. Lincoln is 5 weeks old today. My how time flies when your having fun!!

So we took Lincoln in to the Dr. on March 10th to be circumcised. Before the Dr. could start the procedure, Lincoln got very upset and was crying hard. He decided to hold his breath and he did it for so long that he turned blue and went limp according to the Dr. She sent us directly to the emergency room to have some tests run to see if there was anything wrong. She wanted to have him tested for apnea, reflux and a whole host of things. He had an electrocardiogram scan on his heart, an ultrasound on his brain (through the soft spot on his head), an xray of his chest, blood tests, urine tests, and a numagraph test where they check his breathing and oxygen saturation levels for 12 hours. So needless to say, it was an ordeal. He was admitted to the hospital and we were there from Tuesday until around 10pm on Thursday night of that week. Every test came back normal or negative so everything turned out fine. The neo-natalogist said he was showing a superior sense of intelligence. (He would do anything to get out of the circumcision!!) Then my Grandma, my Aunt and my cousin all came out from Kansas for a quick trip to see Lincoln the weekend of the 14th. That was a really nice visit and I was very touched that they made the trip.

So, Lincoln did end up getting his circumcision after all on the 17th. Buddy went in the room with him this time to help keep him a little calmer. Buddy said he will never forget that experience for as long as he lives. Lincoln has already forgotten all about it and has healed up nicely.

Lincoln has gained 3 pounds since birth. He has already outgrown a bunch of his newborn clothes and has moved into the next size up diaper. He's growing so fast.

By the way, while we were in the hospital, we were able to have Lincoln baptized. St. Mary's hospital is a Catholic hospital so it worked out to have him baptized while we were there.

There has been a slew of new babies born into the family on both sides over the last month. Buddy's cousin, Carrieanne & her husband had a little girl named Emilie. My nephew, C.J. & his fiancee' Amy, had a little girl named Isabella Jade, and my step-niece, Leslie & her husband had a little boy named Fredrick Harold. Congrats to all!!
